I’m a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cologne, working in the Center for Predictability in Evolution, within the Evolutionary Bioinformatics subgroup at the Institute for Biological Physics.
I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Copenhagen, where I was supervised by Thorfinn Sand Korneliussen and Rasmus Nielsen.
At the core of my research is a simple but ambitious question: How can we predict evolution? I approach this through computational and statistical modeling, drawing on methods from bioinformatics, genomics, and evolutionary theory. I develop mathematical models and computational methods to predict evolution, focusing on forecasting evolutionary outcomes and uncovering the underlying constraints that shape them.
I am a Linux geek (\insert
<i use arch btw> & i3wm & vim). I love statically-typed & systems programming languages, and investigating/finding/fixing/thinking-about bugs, especially the most sneaky and annoying ones. I enjoy reading, writing (available on demand!), video games, maths & stats, programming, stoicism, rambling about philosophy and existentialism, playing piano & electric guitar, bullet & blitz chess, skateboarding and speedcubing.
